Although, there are many advantages to having a diverse workforce but there are also various challenges associated with it. In a diverse workplace, there is high sensitivity among employees coming from different backgrounds who may or may not understand the cultural beliefs or perspectives of others around them. Conflicts often arise due to stereotypes, prejudices, biases, contradicting cultural beliefs, varying emotional or mental capabilities, etc. Hence, managing a diverse workforce is very important so as to ensure that diversity has a positive impact on employee productivity rather than creating a negative morale or low self-esteem.
